Free mulch available to the public (subject to availability). Bring your own tools for loading. Restrictions: First-come, first-served basis. Mulch is prioritized for private residents; commercial operations prohibited. Note: Mulch pile located across the street from the Forestry building on the west side of the street. For more details or inquiries, feel free to reach out to the respective contacts provided.City Forestry offers free mulch to the public when we generate more than what our parks use. The bin is first-come, first-serve, and you will need to bring your own tools for loading. In order to help provide a consistent supply for our private residents, use by commercial operations is prohibited. The mulch pile is located across the street from the Forestry building at 1601 Recreation Way, on the west side of the street.

To ensure efficient pickup, it’s crucial to adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Stacking: Piles stacked incorrectly will not be picked up.
  2. Placement: Place piles curbside by 8:00 a.m. Monday morning on your designated chipping block.
  3. Size Limit: Please limit pile size to 5’x5’x5’. There’s no limit on the number of piles along the curb.
  4. Distance: Piles must be within 5 feet of the roadway for accessibility.
  5. Neat Stacking: Stack piles neatly with cut ends facing the road for easy collection.
  6. Restriction: Do not tie or band piles.

Adhering to these guidelines ensures smooth pickup and efficient management of yard waste.
